Plant Clinic and Information Center – Columbia Park Heritage Museum
July 27 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
The WSU Master Gardeners of Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties will be hosting a Plant Clinic and Information Center on Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2 PM in the Discovery Garden parking lot at the Columbia Heritage Museum, 115 SE Lake Street, Ilwaco, WA. We will be there to address your plant questions, concerns, and suggestions.
If you have questions such as:
- What is causing my rose bush to show clumps of red to orange powder on the lower surfaces of its leaves?>
- My rhododendron is wilting and dying. What’s wrong?
- Moss is all over my lawn. What moss killer can I use?
- One of my tomato plants has gray-green, water-soaked spots that appear on the leaves, stems and fruit. What is causing this?
We can help you! Stop by anytime between 10 am and 2 pm. Bring samples if you can.
We are also giving informal tours of the Native Plant Garden and our own vegetable garden!
WSU Extension also supports two web sites that can help you diagnose your own plant problems.
• Hortsense – Contains fact sheets for the home gardener to manage plant problems using Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
• Pestsense – Contains fact sheets for managing common indoor pest problems using Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
We will be sponsoring several plant clinics later on in August and in September at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum. Stay tuned!
Sharing photographs of your plant problem, plant identification or insect identification is helpful. Please bring a sample if possible. To learn about preparing samples for diagnosis, please see Preparing Your Specimens for the Plant Clinic.
