Got Spring Fever? Time for Spring-time Pruning! At this time of year gardeners are anxious to get out in the garden especially when the temperatures become warmer and more days are clear. However, with our eagerness comes the realization that it’s still winter. Spring is coming, but it’s not here yet. This is the time to get out in the garden and assess needed pruning of perennials, shrubs and trees.

Examine your dormant plants and trees and identify what kinds of pruning will ensure their health and optimize their beauty. We will share specific techniques for pruning ornamental plants, shrubs, fruit trees and caning berries. There will be plants and demonstrations of pruning methods, hands-on opportunities to practice your pruning methods and handouts to guide you in keeping your plants looking their best!

Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties Master Gardeners Kelly Rupp and Hugh Barrett will present the workshop.
