SUMMARY:Water-wise Gardening for SW Washington
DESCRIPTION:Join the Master Gardeners on Saturday\, July 13th at 10:00 AM to learn more about water-wise gardening in southwest Washington. This workshop will be held at the 1st Lutheran Church\, located at 103 Adams St\, South Bend (at the Corner of E Water & S Adams Streets). \nSouthwest WA soils offer challenges to local gardeners envisioning dense\, colorful flowerbeds and bountiful vegetable gardens.  Yet the warmer\, drier summer days with limited rain fall often stress your plants. \nLearn practical ways of reducing water use in your garden\, maximizing soil moisture for plant use\, protecting the quality of our valuable groundwater and getting the most out of composts\, fertilizers and other soil amendments.  \nAfter the workshop join us in the community garden to see how selected water-wise techniques are used in the WSU Master Gardener Demonstration beds.\n \nFor more information\, contact Elena Righettini at mrighettini@yahoo.com \nReasonable accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities and special needs who contact Toni Gwin\, WSU Extension\, P.O.
