We will be there to address your plant questions\, concerns\, and suggestions.\n \nIf you have questions such as: \n\nHow do I place mulch around trees and shrubs?\nMy rhododendron is wilting and dying. What’s wrong?\nMoss is all over my lawn. What moss killer can I use?\nMy hellebore plants looks fairly healthy but some of the leaves look damaged. What should I do?\n\nWe can help you! Stop by anytime between 10 am and 2 pm. Bring samples if you can. \nWe will also have handouts on the following topics as well as other information:\n• Growing Vegetables in a Marine Environment\n• How to Identify and Prevent Heat Stress in Plants \nWSU Extension also supports two web sites that can help you diagnose your own plant problems.\n• Hortsense  – Contains fact sheets for the home gardener to manage plant problems using Integrated Pest Management (IPM).\n• Pestsense  – Contains fact sheets for managing common indoor pest problems using Integrated Pest Management (IPM). \nWe will be sponsoring several plant clinics later on in July\, in August and in September at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum. DESCRIPTION:Master Gardener Demonstration Garden at county fair time\nSunday\, October 29th noon to 3 p.m. the Master Gardeners of Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties are hosting our annual Seed Saver Harvest Celebration. It will be held at the Master Gardener Demonstration Garden inside the Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds in Elma. There will be an abundance of free seeds\, live plants and plant material available. \nTo assure that we have enough seeds and plants for everyone that day\, we are limiting the number of seed packets to 2 per person and the number of live plants to 2 per person until 2:30 p.m. At 2:30 visitors are welcome to take more seeds and/or plants. \nWe are also requesting that visitors bring their own bag or box to carry home whatever plant material they acquire. \nIt’ll be a fun day\, so please join us!

DESCRIPTION:The Master Gardeners of Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties will be hosting a Plant Clinic on Monday\, June 12\, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 1 PM in South Bend at the WSU Extension Pacific County Office.\n \nCommon questions for the Master Gardener volunteers are: \n\nWhat plants grow best in the Pacific Northwest?\nWhat can I grow in the maritime environment?\nHow can I test my soil?\nWhat will I have problems growing where I live?\n\nTo help us better diagnose a plant problem\, please try to share as much of the following information as possible: \n\nThe type of damage are you seeing and when it start\nThe parts of the plant that are affected: flower\, leaf\, stem\, fruit\, etc.\nHow is the plant watered and the amount and frequency of watering\nThe location of the plant ; in a garden bed or in the lawn\, next to a driveway or house\, in full or part sun\, the direction the plant faces\, etc.\n\nSharing photographs of your plant problem\, plant identification or insect identification is helpful.
