DESCRIPTION:Plant clinic help\nThe 2026 Pacific County Fair opens Wednesday\, August 19th and runs through Saturday\, August 22nd. The Master Gardener display area will be staffed by volunteers from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm each day of the fair. Stop by and share your gardening experiences with us! We’ll be on hand to answer any of your plant questions\, especially growing plants in our Pacific County climate. \nWe have activities for youth including fun things to do during your visit! \nAdditionally\, there will be tool sharpening available from 12:00 to 6:00 on Friday and Saturday of the fair! Bring along those human-powered loppers and clippers to get them “tuned up” for your fall garden clean-up! \nThe Master Gardeners are university-trained volunteers who will provide you with relevant and unbiased research-based information focused on environmentally friendly gardening practices. We hope you will be able to visit our Master Gardener display area for FREE advice on gardening\, plant problems\, plant identification\, pest management and soil improvement.\nCommon questions for the Master Gardener volunteers are: \n\nWhat plants grow best in the Pacific Northwest?\nWhat can I grow in the maritime environment?\nHow can I test my soil?\nWhat will I have problems growing where I live?\n\nTo help us better diagnose a plant problem\, please try to share as much of the following information as possible: \n\nWhat type of damage are you seeing and when did it start?\nWhich parts of the plant are affected: flower\, leaf\, stem\, fruit\, etc.?\nHow is the plant watered and how much?\nWhere is the plant located; in a garden bed or in the lawn\, next to a driveway or house\, in full or part sun\, facing what direction?\nSharing photographs of your plant problem\, plant identification or insect identification is helpful.\nBring a sample if you can\n\nGarden tool sharpening
