DESCRIPTION:Master Gardener Demonstration Garden at county fair time \nSunday\, October 29th noon to 3 p.m. the Master Gardeners of Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties are hosting our annual Seed Saver Harvest Celebration. It will be held at the Master Gardener Demonstration Garden inside the Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds in Elma. There will be an abundance of free seeds\, live plants and plant material available. \nTo assure that we have enough seeds and plants for everyone that day\, we are limiting the number of seed packets to 2 per person and the number of live plants to 2 per person until 2:30 p.m. At 2:30 visitors are welcome to take more seeds and/or plants. \nWe are also requesting that visitors bring their own bag or box to carry home whatever plant material they acquire. \nIt’ll be a fun day\, so please join us!

DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendars now! The WSU Master Gardeners of Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties will  host  Town and Country Gardens\, our 25th Annual Garden Tour\, Saturday\,  July 22\, 2023. This year’s tour will include six gardens in the Elma and McCleary area of east Grays Harbor County. \nTo celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the WSU Extension’s Master Gardener Program and our 25th garden tour\, the Grays Harbor County Demonstration Garden will be an official tour garden this year. Often referred to as ‘the public face of the Master Gardeners’\, the Demonstration Garden was started in 1994 and has evolved and expanded over the years. With easy access\, 24/7\, the garden is a year-round destination for locals\, campers\, walkers\, and county fair-goers. \nThe tour will include a plant sale\, providing an additional opportunity for tour attendees to purchase plants as part of the day’s activities. The Plant Sale hours will be 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. \nTickets are $15 and available at the following locations: \n\nAberdeen: Marshall’s Garden & Pet\nWestport Winery\nHoquiam: Harbor Drug & Gifts\nMontesano: Valu Drug\nElma: Dennis Company\nOcean Shores: Galway Bay Gift Shop and Flying Cats Gift Shop\nRaymond: Dennis Company\n\n  \n  \n Reasonable accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities and special needs. DESCRIPTION:The Master Gardeners of Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties will be hosting a Plant Clinic on Saturday\, July 15\, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 2 PM at Buck Electric Ace Hardware in Ocean Shores.\n \nCommon questions for the Master Gardener volunteers are: \n\nWhat plants grow best in the Pacific Northwest?\nWhat can I grow in the maritime environment?\nHow can I test my soil?\nWhat will I have problems growing where I live?\n\nTo help us better diagnose a plant problem\, please try to share as much of the following information as possible: \n\nThe type of damage are you seeing and when it start\nThe parts of the plant that are affected: flower\, leaf\, stem\, fruit\, etc.\nHow is the plant watered and the amount and frequency of watering\nThe location of the plant ; in a garden bed or in the lawn\, next to a driveway or house\, in full or part sun\, the direction the plant faces\, etc.\n\nSharing photographs of your plant problem\, plant identification or insect identification is helpful.
